Frenchic Paint is the furniture paint we use and recommend when finishing selected pieces of antique pine in our own workshop.

It offers excellent coverage, a beautifully soft finish, and works particularly well with solid wood and traditional furniture — without overpowering the natural character of older timber.

If it wasn’t suitable for antique pine, we wouldn’t stock it.

Why we stock Frenchic

We’ve restored and sold antique pine furniture for over 30 years. During that time, we’ve tested countless finishes and paints — and very few meet our standards.

Frenchic stands out because it:

• Works well on solid, older timber

• Offers strong coverage with minimal preparation

• Is water based and low odour

• Cures to a durable, practical finish

This is the same paint we use on selected wardrobes, dressers and cupboards that leave our Chester workshop.

We don’t aim to stock the full Frenchic catalogue.

Instead, we’re bringing online a carefully chosen selection of colours and finishes that we believe genuinely work with antique pine and traditional interiors.
